Here are some FEMA training courses needed to earn ICS4ICS credentials. Rember there are many ways to take these courses, these are additional FEMA resources to investigate.

IS-201.a Forms Used for the Development of the Incident Action Plan and Incident Management

This course provides an overview of general ICS forms and an opportunity to see how to apply them within the incident action planning process.

 

IS-120.c An Introduction to Exercises

This course introduces the basics of incident management exercises. It is an essential foundation for organizing ICS4ICS exercises.

 

IS-130.a How to be an Exercise Evaluator

This course introduces the basics of exercise evaluation and improvement planning. It allows for a better understanding of the process of assessing the effectiveness of exercises, both discussion-based and operations-based.

IS-241.c Decision Making and Problem Solving

This course provides the necessary knowledge of models and tools for decision-making in a crisis situation, not only for the Incident Commander.

IS-908 Emergency Management for Senior Officials

This course is to introduce the important role of senior officials in emergency management. It allows the Incident Commander to understand all necessary interactions with authorities.

IS-240.c Leadership and Influence

This course help Incident Commander and General Command Staff improve leadership and influence skills, by addressing: Leadership from within; How to facilitate change; How to build and rebuild trust; Using personal influence and political savvy; and fostering an environment for leadership development.

The ICS4ICS Exercise Team creates most of the ICS4ICS Exercise materials and many of the ICS4ICS resources. The team meets monthly.
